Welcome to Dragon Defense! This guide will walk you through your first steps in the game, helping you understand the basic interface and getting started.

What is Dragon Defense?

Dragon Defense is a tower defense game where you place DragonPal towers to protect your base from waves of enemies. Your goal is to prevent enemies from reaching your base by strategically placing and upgrading towers.

Core Gameplay

1. In Battle

1️⃣ Place Towers

• Tap empty slots to place towers

• Each tower has different abilities

2️⃣ Battle Waves

• Enemies come in waves automatically

• Towers attack enemies automatically

• Preview next wave to plan your tower placement strategically

• Counter specific enemy types with appropriate towers

3️⃣ Upgrade During Battle

• Earn resources by defeating enemies

• Upgrade existing towers or build new ones

2. Progression System

1️⃣ Collect Towers

• Purchase new DragonPal towers from the shop

• Check each tower's stats and special abilities on their cards

2️⃣ Unlock Talents

• Earn resources to unlock talents

• Talents provide battle buffs

3️⃣ Progress Through Worlds

• Start with simple levels

• Complete levels to unlock new content

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Entering Dragon Defense

Press M to open the map and locate the portals. You can find entrance portals at signposts and remote altars.

2. Starting Your First Battle

1️⃣ Setting Up Your Tower Lineup

Click the + button to activate the Barracks UI and select your battle lineup.

Use equip/remove functions to manage your towers.

2️⃣ Choosing Your Battlefield

Head to Stage 1 and approach the portal to begin.

Start with Stage 1 and progress through stage 1-5. Once you've mastered your lineup and talents, challenge Endless Mode.

Each world contains 10 battle positions, marked as either occupied or available.

Select an available position (stand in the circle to pop out the battle UI).

3️⃣ Starting Your Battle

Enter the battle interface and pay attention to crucial information for optimal tower placement and strategy.

Deploy the Towers

1. Select desired tower from bottom toolbar

2. Valid placement zones highlighted in green

3. Click highlighted area to deploy

4. Confirm placement

Manage the Deployed Tower

• Press Q to sell (receive partial energy refund)

• Press E to upgrade (consumes energy)

• Press ESC to deselect tower

• Orange area shows tower's attack range

• Damage display shows tower's total damage dealt in current battle

Battle Results shows: Time taken and Rewards earned.

3. Powering Up Your Defense

1️⃣ Purchase Towers in Shop

The Tower Shop is your gateway to expanding your defensive capabilities.

• Unlock various towers for battle deployment

• Multiple filter options: Element, Target type, Damage type, Strategic counters

• Preview tower features on the left panel

• Sell back unlocked towers for 500 coins (50% refund)

2️⃣ Upgrade Your Talents

The Talent Tree allows you to customize and enhance your strategy. Unlock talents using Tech Points and Gold

3️⃣ Complete Your Missions

Mission Rewards: Coins, Tech Points, EXP

Types of Missions

1. Main Missions: One-time completion rewards

2. Daily Missions: Reset daily at 8:00 UTC

4️⃣ Dragon Blessing System

The Dragon Blessing system provides global buffs to enhance your defense capabilities.

• View buff effects from different elemental DragonPals

• Track your collected DragonPals

• Buffs are calculated based on unique DragonPal types (collecting one of each element is sufficient for full buffs)

4. Dominating the Endless Realm

When your mastery of tower mechanics and talent system reaches a certain level, you can challenge the Endless Realm at any time to survive more waves and compete for leaderboard rewards.

• Costs 10 energy

• Random infinite waves with progressively increasing difficulty - see how many waves you can survive

• Resource tower limit in Endless mode unlocks with waves.

1️⃣ Endless Realm Entrance

Located to the right of stage 5 portal (Endless Realm).

2️⃣ Enter Battle

2 enemy portals and one escape point.

Final score only shows: Waves (remaining seconds of that wave).

The higher the wave number and the lower the remaining seconds, the better.
